EU Food Contact Compliance

GREENFLEX products comply with the European framework for food contact materials, anchored on Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 and the Good Manufacturing Practice Regulation (EC) 2023/2006. We perform migration testing with accredited laboratories, using the EU 10/2011 limits as the recognised benchmark, and maintain a Declaration of Compliance for each active product reference.

Regulatory Readiness

GREENFLEX actively monitors evolving EU regulations that affect food packaging materials.

Regulation GREENFLEX position
EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) GREENFLEX products (CN 5604/6002) are outside the current EUDR scope. We monitor for Annex changes.
PPWR (EU 2025/40, from Aug 2026) Products meet the Article 5 substance restrictions: no intentionally added PFAS (below EN 17681-1:2025 detection limits) and heavy metals below the regulatory limits. Design-for-recyclability requirements (Article 6) apply from 2030; preparation in progress.
BPA ban (EU 2024/3190, Jul 2026) No intentionally added BPA in any GREENFLEX product or raw material (based on supplier declarations). Updated Annex III Declaration of Compliance in preparation.
EcoVadis Bronze rating (2026); annual reassessment.
