Can I print my own design?
Absolutely! Greenflex packaging can be preprinted during production with high-quality, offset imaging, giving your brand maximum marketing impact. With vibrant, full-color, double-sided printing options, your packaging isn’t just functional—it’s a powerful advertising tool too!
Are the cardboards ovenable or microwaveble?
Yes, PaperSeal offers a Cook version that is both microwave and oven safe. The tray is fitted with a special liner to ensure it can handle heating. Additionally, it can also be printed on both the inside and outside.
Do the raw materials come from sustainably managed forests?
Each Greenflex pack is made of 90% cardboard, all of which is FSC or PEFC certified, ensuring that the packaging comes from responsibly managed forests and supply chains. And the best part? This cardboard is fully recyclable and biodegradable.
Can you separate the plastic from the cardboard?
The film holding the cardboard tray together is specifically designed for easy separation after use. It is strong enough to protect the contents and keep the packaging intact, yet easy to split by hand when it is time to recycle. Consumers can use the specially designed easy-split corner, which allows them to separate the plastic from the carton in one move.
Even if the consumer does not use the easy-split corner, the cardboard will always be recycled in a standard recycling system as no glue or other adhesives are used during the production process of the cardboard packaging. Contact us for more information on this so we can show you the results!
What is the MOQ?
The MOQ is 30.000 pieces. For SlimFresh® and SliceFresh® multiple artworks can be combined, making it more flexible for our customers.
Are the eco-friendly packaging solutions pasteurizable?
Unfortunately, our cardboard packaging is not resistant to large amounts of water and therefore isn’t suitable for traditional pasteurization methods. However, it can be pasteurized using an Industrial Microwave Pasteurization.
Is it possible to receive a proof of concept?
Absolutely! We can provide a digitally printed proof of concept, allowing you to create a professional presentation for yourself.
Can I run cardboard packaging on my existing machine?
Yes, our cardboard packaging can be used on your existing machine. We’ll discuss with your machine manufacturer to ensure compatibility based on the 3D design of our tray or cardboard. For most of our available sizes, only a minor adjustment to the bottom tool is typically needed.
What type of printing technology is used?
We use offset printing technology in a 4-color CMYK system, which meets the requirements for 99% of artworks. We don’t use digital printing, as it is challenging to produce this in accordance to the food safety regulations.
Are the carboards resistant to the freezer?
Yes, our cardboard packaging is resistant to freezing, as long as it is not thawed and refrozen afterward.
What is the shelf-life with our cardboard packaging?
The shelf-life with our cardboard packaging depends on various factors, such as the type of food and the packaging used. In general, we guarantee the same shelf-life as with traditional plastic packaging. However, we are continuously working to extend the shelf-life by exploring different types of materials.
Can you grill the tray in the oven?
Unfortunately not, our PaperSeal Cook is not resistant to the high heat, although they are resistant to 220° for 30 minutes.
Is the food packaging 100% biodegradable?
No, and that’s a good thing!
